I got the job!!!

Monday I got a call from the hospital and they offered me a job at 25% more than I am making now. Since I get paid by the line I was going to ask for about 1.5 cents more than I make now and their first offer was more than that. This is such a blessing. I feel like this time there really is a light at the end of the tunnel and there is a really good chance it is not the train. I just have to figure out what to tell the National Company. I think I have figured out a schedule that will work for both jobs and then Sept 5 I'm scheduled for my shoulder surgery. Shortly after that I hope to receive my computer from the hospital and can start working at home.

Today I had a doctor's appointment to follow up on some blood tests and have my BP checked. It's still high so he wants me to double up one of my medications. Maybe once things settle down, I'm not so worried about money I'll relax and possibly even lose some weight.

A week from today a couple of friends and myself leave for Michigan to meet up with some of my internet friends. I call them the Lizzies. We started out as a group of cross stitchers with a love for all things designed by Lizzie Kate. Over the years that love has turned into a great friendship and love. We are a group of 16 now and have shared so many things. I can't imagine life without these blessed women.

Start Here

For a while now I have felt the call of the Blog but would I really have anything to say. People like pictures on blogs, I like pictures on blogs but I don't know how to use my camera. Hopefully this will give me a reason to learn. I certainly don't want to bore everyone.

It's a Saturday and normally I hate weekends. The Husband likes to sleep late, so do I but he likes to sleep really, really late and I spend a good portion of the day tip toeing around and then at dinner time he wants lunch and then around 8 it's time for dinner but today was good. He had an appointment and was out of the house by 9:30. The rest of the weekend will be devoted to racing, watching it, all kinds, Son and Husband bonding in front of the TV. It's actually very heart warming.

I had a job interview this past week. Some friends were very kind and gave me great references. Right now I work for a National Corporation at home as a transcriptionist. At first they cut our pay to edit voice recognition reports to 80% of what they pay us to type them. The idea was that since the words were already there all we had to do is fix them and since statistics said we could do 25% more lines it was like getting a 5% raise. The National Corp has decided to cut our pay even more because they have to charge even less for the voice recognition report and it was cutting into their profits. I'll have to explain that to the mortgage company. This new position is working for a small, community hospital. I was so excited about the interview. The place looks like a resort, there were ponds and fountains and ducks and gazebos and even a moat with little bridges. There is a spa attached and discounts is one of the benefits. It's less than 20 miles from my house and I can't believe I had never been there before. Wish me luck!!!
